Over the weekend, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel visited with Jeff and Jo Berg at Lane Creek Dairy Farm in La Crosse, Wisc. The Bergs use a Lely Astronaut A4 robotic milker to milk their 60 head of dairy cows. Jeff was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis more than two decades ago and the robotic milking machine has helped him continue to farm along with the support of his family.

According to the article, Jeff and Jo Berg estimate they're saving six to eight hours of labor daily with their robotic milker. Milk production has increased from an average of 65 pounds of milk per animal to close to 90 pounds.
