do you guys have any info on compost bedding pack barns systems with lely robots ? The one thing i have a big question about is how hard is it to aerated the bedding pack when the cows are in the barn at all times. Thanks you guess got amazing product.
Hi James,
Thank you for your question! As we communicated earlier this week, Rick is happy to work with you in answering your questions.
Please be sure to contact us again in the future if you have any other needs.
Best,
The Lely Team
We have one bedding pack barn running here in Manitoba with great success, however it is a deep bedded barn with fresh bedding added daily and no aeration. The layout is a feed alley along one side of the barn with a scraper alley where the cows stand, and the bedding packs behind that. In the center of the barn lengthwise is a robot and holding area/separation pen that separates the bedding pack in half. I imagine it would also work with a composted pack system, however the farm is in the middle of thousands of acres of grainland so straw is easy and cheap to source. Send me an email if you need pictures or a diagram if I’m not making sense. stefan_signer@hotmail.com
Are there any good Lely sponsered discussion groups/forums that Lely farmers can use to bounce Ideas off of each other? It looked like they were going to have something with the Ambassador website but that has seemed to have fizzled.
Hi Joe,
Thanks for your message! We’re currently checking on the status of this and will follow up with you shortly.

I am amazed at the working of these Robots, is there any farms near MA (US) to visit to see in action before I decide to go for this.
