Demerath Farms near Plainview is making history by becoming the first robotic dairy operation in Nebraska. In February, the Demeraths began milking using Lely Astronaut A4 robotic milking systems in its expanding dairy operation.

Located in Cache Valley in Trenton, Utah, minutes from Logan, three generations — patriarch Glade Griffin, his son Tom, son-in-law Darrell Eagn and grandson Trevor Eagn — are involved in the family business.
Every June, we celebrate National Dairy Month to highlight the importance dairy plays in our everyday lives. Originally beginning in 1937 as National Milk Month, and changing to National Dairy Month in 1939, this campaign was initially begun as a way to promote drinking milk while production was at a surplus. Over the span of the next 80 years, it evolved into honoring the dairy industry as a whole. Today, entire communities, both rural and urban, embrace it as a way to celebrate the contributions the dairy industry makes to the world. As the Spring Showcase came to a close, Lely North America took to Facebook Live on Monday, May 15, to answer questions about labor and to reveal the winners of three Lely Luna cow brushes and one Lely Juno automatic feed pusher. Jim Hoffman of Lebanon, PA, was the grand prize winner of a brand-new Juno. Winners of a Luna included Adam Petherick of Campbellford, ON; Curtis Gomes of Tillamook, OR; and Amanda Carey of Morley, MI.
